The Avett Brothers - ‘The Ballad of Love and Hate’, Live at Memorial Hall

by Peterson on March 11, 2010

On November 2nd, 2008, the Avett Brothers, those venerable sons of NC, performed for a full house at Memorial Hall on UNC Chapel Hill campus. The crowd was eager to hear whatever the band brought forth, songs old and new. Here, Seth Avett performs “The Ballad of Love and Hate” from their 2007 release, Emotionalism. Cirque Productions and friends were on hand to shoot the entire show using five HD cameras. We grabbed a stereo board mix on one camera and set up a small hard drive recorder with some room mics on the balcony, and mixed the two in post for the audio. Camera Operators: Peter Bell, Brian Burnham, Daniel Pierce, Michael Cusack O’Connell, Leon Godwin. Edited by Leon Godwin. www.theavettbrothers.com www.cirquevideo.com

BARCLAY JAMES HARVEST - MEDICINE MAN (Extended Version 1974 live)

by RedShakespeare on March 11, 2010

You will hear a fabulous version of “Medicine Man” recorded 1974 live on the Drury Lane Concert in London. What you will see, is a look backstage of another BJH concert (not Drury Lane). Lyrics: Didn’t anybody see his hand move faster Than the lightning in his eyes Oh! what a cold surprise the flying horses cried And didn’t anybody want to ask the calliope To call the tune The flying horses crooned but did not know The Medicine Man sits on the stage Eats fire and water, earth and air while we all stare The silver blade burns bright And tells us to beware Of mirrored passages that throw a thousand images Of younger days The wheel spins slower as it calls us back to play Round and round now we go Shout your name to the wind As it spins by your side Coloured lights echo as the sound slips on by Could that have been me? www.barclayjamesharvest.com www.barclayjamesharvest.co.uk www.bjharvest.co.uk

Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody [ High Definition ]

by Peterson on March 11, 2010

Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? Caught in a landslide No escape from reality Open your eyes Look up to the skies and see I’m just a poor boy (poor boy), I need no sympathy Because I’m easy come, easy go little high, little low Anyway the wind blows, doesn’t really matter to me, to me Mama, just killed a man Put a gun against his head Pulled my trigger, now he’s dead Mama, life had just begun But now I’ve gone and thrown it all away Mama, ooo Didn’t mean to make you cry If I’m not back again this time tomorrow Carry on, carry on, as if nothing really matters It’s too late, my time has come Sends shivers down my spine Body’s aching all the time Goodbye everybody - I’ve got to go Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth Mama, ooo - (anyway the wind blows) I don’t want to die I sometimes wish I’d never been born at all I see a little silhouetto of a man Scaramouche, scaramouche, will you do the fandango? Thunderbolts and lightning - very very frightening me Galileo, Galileo, Galileo, Galileo, Galileo Figaro - magnifico-ooo I’m just a poor boy nobody loves me He’s just a poor boy from a poor family Spare him his life from this monstrosity Easy come easy go - will you let me go Bismillah! No - we will not let you go - let him go Bismillah! We will not let you go - let him go Bismillah! We will not let you go - let me go Will not let you go - let me go (never) Never let you go - let me go Never let me go - ooo No, no, no, no, no, no, no - Oh mama mia, mama mia

Debbie Gibson Foolish Beat (live concert)

by Peterson on March 11, 2010

This is a clip from her Out of the Blue concert back in 1988. We recently backed up the old VHS we had at home on a DVD, so that’s when I ‘rediscovered’ this amazingly talented artist.
